Panerai made a big leap with the LAB-ID Luminor 1950 Carbotech 3 Days PAM 700, using new carbon tech inside and out. It had ceramic parts and a dial coated in carbon nanotubes for a deep black look. But, they only sold a few because it was really expensive, at €50,000.
Then, Replica Panerai released the Luminor Marina Carbotech 44 mm PAM01661, inspired by the LAB-ID but more affordable. It has a Carbotech case and blue glowy bits on the dial and hands, with a simpler movement, cal. P.9010, that lasts three days and shows the date.
The case is made from Carbotech, a strong and light carbon fiber mix, making the watch only 96 grams. It’s got a classic Panerai imitation look with blue highlights that glow in the dark. This watch mixes new ideas with practical features, showing Panerai’s knack for innovation.
